This feature allows you to easily share a single Linked Album in your Collection (a "Linked Album" is a single photo, photo album, video, journal, or other item that is digitized and stored in another cloud site).
Here's how it works:
Let's say I want to share the digitized home movie: "1968 California Trip - Part 2" with extended family members (yes, a dream trip back then).
I know this digitized 8mm home movie is stored in Google Drive and indexed in MyFamilyArchive in my parents' family collection...
1. I first click on the link between my parents to access their Family Collection Page.
2. On their Collection Page, I then find the "Best Family Vacations" chapter and click on the "envelope icon" for the Linked Album I want to share.
3. This brings up a screen that allows me to: a) select names from a drop-down master list of people I currently share my entire collection with, b) add the email addresses of anyone not in my master list, and c) add an optional message.
4. My invited viewing guests will receive this email, where clicking on the square preview image opens a new tab in their browser and streams our family's home movie. (Click the the Disneyland Castle image above to try it.)
NOTE: This feature is available only to the Account Owner and those who have been granted "Full Edit" privileges to this collection.
